3 Days desert trip from Marrakech
Day 1 : MARRAKECH – TICHKA PASS – AIT BEN HADDOU KASBAH – OUARZAZA - DADS VALLEY :
Main attractions of the day : AitBenhaddou Kasbah - Telouet - Berber’s villages - tizin’tichka - the rose city - Dades Valley - bird’s valley - Kasbah Ameridil - the Hollywood of Africa - Kasbah Taourirt
The tour starts from Marrakech at 8:00 am by picking you up your hotel/riad or airport, we will drive for approximately 2 hours through the Atlas Mountains via the Tizi 'n Tichka Pass and over the High Atlas Mountains, stopping for photos of the Berber villages; after breakfast. We will stop to visit the town of Telouet and its ancient 17th century Kasbah. Then, we will drive in the direction of Ourzazate where we will visit the UNESCO protected Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah and Kasbah Taourirt, one of the most beautiful Kasbahs on this area and get lunch there. Afterwards, we will drive to Skoura, a town that overlooks many other beautiful Kasbahs especially the standing 18th century Kasbah of Ameridhil, then we’ll get to KalaatMgouna - famous for roses and its annual festival during the roses harvest in May. On to the Dades Valley where you will enjoy seeing the amazing rock formation famous as “the monkey toes”. And the amazing dads gorges and its road( tissdrine) .dinner and Overnight in a local riad.
Day 2 : DADES VALLEY – TODGHA GORGE– ERFOUD– MERZOUGA – CAMEL TREK – DESERT CAMP. :
Main attractions of the day : todgha gorges - Erfoud - er - rissani - sunsets - Camel Trek – Desert Camp
Today may be the best of all. After breakfast at riad we’ll go to todgha gorges where you will have free time to enjoy the panoramic views of Berber villages overlooking the valley, and walk under the 300m high cliff, where many rock-climbers come to enjoy their preferred sport. Then your journey continues to Merzouga (where the camel trekking tours will be awaiting) passing through tinjdad (lunch time) erfoud and er-rissani. You will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea and a turban (desert scarf), before you mount your camel, guided by an experienced camel man to explore the mysterious sand-sea of the Erg-Chebbi and enjoy the beauty of the Sahara desert .at your nomad tents you’ll have time to relax and enjoy the sunset over golden dunes one of the best sunsets in the world. And finally, you will have dinner in front of the camp, where you will spend your first night under canvas - or if you prefer, under the stars. Remember at your request we can bring Berber nomads musicians to play traditional music with drums and dancing around the campfire. For your convenience, our camp is equipped with western bathrooms and showers.
Day 3 : MERZOUGA – RISSANI – DRAA VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – MARRAKECH. :
Main attractions of the day : merzouga sunrise - camel - trek - draa valley - Ouarzazat
Your camel man will wake you up early in the morning to watch one of the top world rating sunrise Climbing the sand to experience is so often embedded in the minds of our visitors .then you’ll camel-trek back to the village of Merzouga admiring the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes. After breakfast in the Riad, you’ll leave for Marrakech via draa valley enjoying its oasis and historical building and landscapes .We should arrive at Marrakech at evening where our tour ends by dropping you at any place you choose either hotel or riad.
